One of the best scenes in all of Star Trek. Imagine how much greater the intensity of the scene would be, and how much more outstanding Patrick Stewarts performance would have seemed, if it took place in the grittier, more realistic world of the new Battlestar Galactica, rather than the candy coated polish of the Star Trek world (where even the grittiest locales look as if they've been given a good scrubdown).
The only Patrick Stewart scene that I think tops this is this one:
